Importing a seed phrase rebuilds your wallet from the master backup—do it only inside the official My Wallet app, never into a website that asks for the words.
Quick answer
Open My Wallet, choose Import with Secret Words (12/24), enter your phrase in order, and confirm. My Wallet does not keep a copy of your seed on its servers. If anyone DMs you asking for the words “to help import,” it is a scam.
When to import
- You got a new phone or reinstalled the app
- You are moving from another non-custodial wallet that gave you a standard seed phrase
- You logged out and need access again
- You forgot the app password but still have the seed (import, then set a new password)
If you do not have the seed phrase, no import path can invent it back.
Before you start
- Get the app only from get.mywallet.io or the official Telegram Mini App—not from a forwarded APK.
- Sit somewhere private. Clear shoulder-surfers and screen recordings.
- Use your offline backup (paper), not a photo album if you can avoid it.
- Know whether you have 12 or 24 words.
Steps: import with secret words
Help Center flow (high level; labels can vary slightly by platform):
If you are on the welcome / logged-out screen
- Install and open My Wallet.
- Accept terms if prompted.
- Choose Import from Secret Words (or Add New Wallet, then 12/24 Secret Words, depending on screen).
- Enter each word in the correct order. Switch 12/24 input if needed.
- Confirm, then set a new app password and optional biometrics.
- Verify balances and addresses before you send anything large.
If you already have another wallet open
- Open the wallet switcher / add-wallet flow in My Wallet.
- Choose import with Secret Words.
- Enter the phrase and confirm.
- Check that you are looking at the wallet you intended (name it clearly if you use several).

Solana note (read before you panic)
Different wallets can derive different Solana addresses from the same seed phrase. You can import a phrase from another wallet (for example Trust Wallet), but the Solana address shown in My Wallet may differ. That does not always mean funds vanished—they may sit on another derivation path if balances look wrong on Solana only.
TON Private Key instead of words
If you only have a TON Private Key, My Wallet allows entering it in the secret-words import field for TON recovery. That path restores TON—not the full multichain wallet. Prefer the seed phrase when you have it. Help: TON Private Key recovery.
Safety checklist while importing
- Never type the phrase into Chrome forms, “migration portals,” or Telegram bots
- Never share words with @mysupport impersonators—real support never asks
- Prefer offline paper into the app, not cloud notes into the app
- After import, send a small test before large moves
- If the phrase was ever typed on a shady site, create a new wallet and move funds—do not reuse a burned seed
Send this to a friend new to crypto: importing is normal; pasting your seed into a website is not.

FAQ
Can I import a MetaMask or Phantom seed?
Often yes if it is a standard 12/24-word phrase—but address derivation can differ by chain (especially Solana). Confirm balances per network after import.
What if a word is rejected?
Check spelling and order. Use the wallet’s suggested word list if shown. Do not invent replacements.
Does import copy my coins from the old app?
No copy needed. The same on-chain balances appear when the same keys are restored. The old app is just another window onto the same accounts.
I imported and Solana looks empty.
See the Solana derivation note above before moving funds or assuming loss.
Will My Wallet store my imported seed?
No. Non-custodial means the phrase remains yours. That is also why lost phrases cannot be reset by support.
