USDC, the dollar stablecoin issued by Circle - but on BNB Smart Chain the token carrying that ticker is Binance-Peg USDC, a BEP-20 contract issued by Binance and backed one-to-one by Circle-issued USDC that Binance holds in reserve on other chains. Circle's own minting, redemption and monthly reserve attestations apply to the underlying coin, not to this contract; the peg here is maintained by Binance.
