USO, the United States Oil Fund, a commodity pool run by United States Commodity Funds and built to move each day with the price of light, sweet crude delivered to Cushing, Oklahoma, the delivery point behind the WTI benchmark. It owns no oil: it holds short-dated futures on it, rolling them forward as each contract nears expiry. It began trading in April 2006. USO on Robinhood Chain is a Robinhood Stock Token, a tokenised debt security issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited and backed by shares of the fund held in custody at Alpaca Securities.
