Shiba Inu

SHIB, the token of Shiba Inu, an Ethereum memecoin launched anonymously in 2020 by a founder calling himself Ryoshi, who kept none of the supply and then disappeared. Half of it was sent unsolicited to Vitalik Buterin, who burned most of that and gave the rest, worth about a billion dollars at the time, to Covid relief in India. The project later built its own Ethereum layer-2, Shibarium, which takes its fees in BONE and spends part of them buying SHIB to burn.
