Rivian Automotive (RIVN), the American maker of the R1T electric pickup and R1S sport utility vehicle, which also builds electric delivery vans, a line that began with an order of 100,000 of them from Amazon. RJ Scaringe founded it in Florida in 2009, it builds everything at a former Mitsubishi plant in Normal, Illinois, and Volkswagen put money into a joint venture for its software in 2024. RIVN on Robinhood Chain is a Robinhood Stock Token, a tokenised debt security issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited and backed by Rivian shares held in custody at Alpaca Securities.
