QQQ, the Invesco QQQ Trust, a passively managed fund holding the Nasdaq-100, the hundred largest non-financial companies listed on Nasdaq. Leaving financials out produces an index dominated by technology and consumer names, and holdings are weighted by market value, so the biggest of those companies move it most. The fund launched in 1999, at the height of the dot-com boom. QQQx is a tokenised tracker certificate from Backed Assets (JE) Limited, following the QQQ share price on-chain.
