Monad

MON, the native coin of Monad, an EVM-compatible blockchain that executes transactions in parallel instead of one after another. MON pays for transactions and is staked by the validators that secure the chain, so anyone using a Monad app needs some. Contracts written for the EVM run on it unchanged, which is the pitch to developers. Monad came out of a team from Jump Trading's crypto arm and ran a long public testnet before mainnet opened in 2025.
