Exxon Mobil

Exxon Mobil (XOM), the largest oil and gas company in the United States, earning from crude and natural gas production, from refineries that turn it into fuels, and from petrochemicals sold to industry. Buying Pioneer Natural Resources in 2024 made it the biggest producer in the Permian Basin. It was formed in 1999 by the merger of Exxon and Mobil, two pieces of the 1911 break-up of Standard Oil.
