Eli Lilly (LLY), the American drugmaker behind the obesity and diabetes injections Zepbound and Mounjaro, now the centre of its business, alongside cancer drugs, insulin and the Alzheimer's treatment Kisunla. It earns on patented prescription medicines, most of the money coming from the US market. Founded in Indianapolis in 1876, it was the first company to sell insulin commercially, in 1923.
