Corning

Corning (GLW), a glass and ceramics maker selling optical fibre to telecom and data centre builders, Gorilla Glass cover glass for phones, substrate glass for displays, ceramic exhaust filters and labware for life sciences. Founded in 1851, it made the glass for Edison's light bulb, and in 1970 demonstrated the low-loss fibre that made fibre-optic telecoms practical.
