BNB, the coin of Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, and the gas token of BNB Chain, the exchange's own blockchain. Holders pay reduced trading fees on Binance and use BNB to enter the token sales the exchange runs for new projects. It began in 2017 as an ERC-20 token sold to fund the exchange, and Binance destroys part of the supply every quarter until 100 million coins remain.
