AURORA

AURORA, the token of Aurora, an Ethereum-compatible network that runs as a smart contract inside the NEAR blockchain, so Ethereum apps deploy to it unchanged and users pay gas in ETH while NEAR settles underneath. It was built in 2021 by the team behind NEAR, along with the Rainbow Bridge that moves tokens between Ethereum, NEAR and Aurora. The token is staked in the DAO that governs the project and its treasury.
